Our position on vaping

Manatū Hauora (Ministry of Health), Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora are supported by a number of organisations in their position on vaping.

What we agree on

  • Vaping is not for children and young people.
  • Vaping is not for people who do not smoke.
  • Vaping can help some people quit smoking.
  • For people who smoke, vaping is less harmful but not harmless.
  • The best thing you can do for your health is to be smokefree and vapefree.
